Abstract
⺠GC-MS analysis of root samples detected 20 identified compounds. ⺠Significant higher antioxidant phytochemicals and activity observed in root parts. ⺠Strong antioxidant activity was exhibited in essential oil than methanolic extract. ⺠HPLC analysis showed phenolic compounds are influenced by growing source conditions. ⺠Recovery of antioxidant phytochemicals and activity was more in oven dried samples.
