Abstract
⺠C. roseus lli mutants show unique unbracteate, hyperbranched inflorescence. ⺠Microsatellites (536) were developed by mining the EST database for SSR sequences. ⺠A framework map of 172 DNA markers on 8 LGs spanning 1790.4 cM was constructed. ⺠The lli locus was mapped on LG4, in between two microsatellite markers. ⺠The hyper flower bearing trait made lli/lli RILs ornamentally superior to extant varieties.
