Abstract
▶ The cross-species transportability of Prunus SSRs in P. microcarpa was 96%. ▶ A high homology between P. microcarpa and the other Prunus was observed. ▶ P. microcarpa and P. avium were located in the same major cluster. ▶ AMOVA revealed a high genetic variation among individuals within populations. ▶ Genetic variation among geographic populations was significant.
