Abstract
A regression model explained less than 20% of the DI variability, and extent of damage (DI) significantly decreased with the mean relative force. Based on these results, it can be concluded that relative force (that required to detach 1Â g of bark) is one of the direct factors influencing the selection of different tree species by horses.
