Abstract
In this paper, the balance measurement software based on Kinect2 sensor has been evaluated. Kinect2 sensor is used to analyze the body data tracked from the user and the user׳s center of mass (CoM) as well as its motion route on a plane has been obtained. The evaluation process includes three steps: (1) compare with golden standard balance measure platform intuitively; (2) compare with Wii balance board in numerical analysis level, and further improve it according to the consideration of BFP (body fat percentage) values of the users with different body types; (3) compare with Wii balance board with various locations of the user in the view of Kinect, the relative position of the user׳s feet and WBB, as well as the stance of the user. The evaluation results have verified the reliability of the balance measurement approach based on Kinect2 sensor.
