Abstract
⺠This study examined factors that affected preferences for different landscape settings. ⺠The general public had the strongest preference for landscapes with water related features. ⺠Personal characteristics were found to strongly influence preferences. ⺠Environmental value orientations were also found to strongly influence preferences. ⺠These effects often differed significantly across the various landscape settings.
