Abstract
► This study examined factors that affected preferences for different landscape settings. ► The general public had the strongest preference for landscapes with water related features. ► Personal characteristics were found to strongly influence preferences. ► Environmental value orientations were also found to strongly influence preferences. ► These effects often differed significantly across the various landscape settings.
