Abstract
⺠We study the feasibility of reducing pesticide use in French field crops. ⺠Alternative crop management techniques have been identified. ⺠At a national level, their adoption could allow a reduction of pesticides up to 30%. ⺠It requires public policies relating to extension, training and economic incentives. ⺠Taxes and subsidies should be set at levels high enough to reach the target.
