Abstract
► We predict the demand for recreation at a potential forest recreation site. ► We use spatial microsimulation techniques to account for demographic and spatial factors. ► We highlight the importance of this in environmental benefit transfer. ► The approach also yields an estimate of the potential amenity value of the site.
