Abstract
A new mixed alkali metal borate LiCs[B5O8(OH)]·H2O has been synthesized under solvothermal conditions and structurally characterized. It exhibits novel fluctuant anionic [B5O8(OH)]n2n − layers based on the unusual B5O10(OH) oxoboron clusters, showing a four-connected spl topology net with the Schläfli symbol of {44·62}.236
