Abstract
Platinum(II) complexes of anthracene- and pyrene-conjugated imidazophenanthroline ligands and their cytotoxicity against HeLa cell lines are reported. Inhibition of cell proliferation and apoptotic cell death lend support to their anticancer activity. The energy-optimized structures of the complexes and their intercalation into the DNA from molecular docking study are also reported.86
