Abstract
Monovalent metal cations were introduced into inorganic-organic hybrid crystals composed from β-type octamolybdate (β-Mo8) and hexadecylpyridinium. The introduction of metal cations was induced by the molecular isomerization from α-Mo8 to β-Mo8 anion. In the inorganic layers, the metal cations and β-Mo8 anions were connected to form one- or two-dimensional arrangement.
