Abstract
Oral inoculation of goats with the non-tuberculous Mycobacterium avium subsp. hominissuis resulted in either severe clinical disease with marked ulceration of gut-associated lymphoid tissue for 2-3 months post infection, or in transient mild disease with extensive fibrocaseonecrotic granulomas in regional lymph nodes resembling lesions seen in human and bovine tuberculosis.180
