Abstract
												- Campylobacter jejuni is the major bacterial cause of gastroenteritis worldwide.
- C. jejuni NCTC 11168 variants exist and are widely used in different laboratories.
- We present genomic changes of a NCTC 11168 variant upon accidental human passage.
- Frequencies of certain contingency gene stretches are the main variations found.
- Different hosts induce specific length variations of homopolymeric tracts.
