Whole genomic analyses of asymptomatic human G1P[6], G2P[6] and G3P[6] rotavirus strains reveal intergenogroup reassortment events and genome segments of artiodactyl origin

► Whole genomic analyses of asymptomatic human P[6] rotaviruses. ► G1P[6] strain M37 possessed a DS-1-like NSP3 encoding genome segment on a Wa-like genetic backbone. ► Human G2P[6] strain 1076 possessed several genome segments of artiodactyl (ruminants) origin. ► Human Wa-like G3P[6] strain McN13 exhibited several unique amino acid changes. ► This is the first report on whole genomic analysis of a G1P[6] rotavirus strain.
