Abstract
⺠In this study we demonstrated the polymorphism of rotavirus genotype G1 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. ⺠Analysis of the VP7 structures showed mutations at neutralizing antibody recognition sites. ⺠We discuss the possible implication of these mutations on the efficiency of the rotavirus vaccine.
