Abstract
⺠A new species is reported in the Fluviatilis Complex and provisionally designated as species V. ⺠Species V was found in district Haridwar, northern India in sympatric association with species T and U. ⺠The new can be identified by two fixed paracentric inversions in the polytene chromosomes. ⺠Molecular characterization showed that species V is distinctly different from other species of the Fluviatilis Complex.
