Abstract
► Polymorphism at FLI1 was shown by us to important in Leishmania braziliensis infection. ► FLI1 interacts with CTGF, FLII, and TGFB pathway genes in wound healing. ► We find association with CTGF, TGFBR2, SMAD2, SMAD7 for cutaneous disease. ► We find association with SMAD3 and SMAD7 for mucocutaneous disease. ► Wound healing genes are important determinants of cutaneous leishmaniasis.
