Abstract
⺠Redox proteomics have been performed in malaria infected and uninfected erythrocytes. ⺠Differentially oxidized pattern have been identified in uninfected blood group O. ⺠Cytoskeleton and lipid rafts proteins were the main networks oxidized upon infection. ⺠Blood group O infected erythrocytes showed specific membrane protein oxidized pattern. ⺠Carbonylation of group O cytoskeleton proteins may underlie protection against malaria.
