Abstract
⺠We sequenced two 2007 dolphin morbillivirus (DMV) strains extensive genomic regions. ⺠Those sequences were obtained from one finned-pilot whale and one striped dolphin. ⺠They were compared genetically between each other and with the 1990 DMV genome. ⺠2007 DMV strains should be considered the same virus (99.9% identity). ⺠This virus may have a Mediterranean origin.
