Abstract
ⶠVariability in host manipulation by parasites occurs within individuals, between individuals of a same population, and across populations. ⶠThis phenomenon arises from complex interactions between genomes, environment and the age of hosts and parasites. ⶠEvolution of host manipulation should be considered within the framework of phenotypic plasticity rather than in a purely genetic framework.
