Abstract
- We provide comparative mitogenomics data for the leaf-nosed bats family Phyllostomidae.
- Mitochondrial reads were sequenced from tagged genomic shotgun Illumina libraries.
- Well-covered complete mitogenomes were assembled from next-generation sequencing reads.
- Mitogenomes contain more phylogenetic signal than single mitochondrial or nuclear genes.
- Bayesian inference of combined mitochondrial, RAG2 and vWF markers supports several clades.
