Abstract
⺠Dogroses taxonomy was evaluated by a population genetic approach using AFLP. ⺠About 900 wild dogroses and more than 200 other roses were sampled across Europe. ⺠Assignment tests and discriminant analysis were used for genetic structure analysis. ⺠A new taxonomic structure with 5 subsections is proposed for the dogroses.
