Abstract
⺠Comparative phylogeny and evolution of porcine parvoviruses in Suidae were studied. ⺠High rate of evolution similar to those commonly measured for RNA viruses was found. ⺠PPVs of wild boars proved to be more diverse than viruses of domestic pigs. ⺠Novel PPVs has a relatively recent evolutionary history diverged in the last 70 years. ⺠Recombination, positive selection, host switching and gene flow are important driving forces of the PPVs evolution.
