Abstract
⺠Tongeia fischeri consists of six mitochondrial clades in Japan. ⺠The existing evolutionary lineages are strongly associated with the geographical distribution. ⺠Geographical patterns of variation of mitochondrial and nuclear DNA are discordant. ⺠Evidence of introgressive hybridization was detected in the northeastern Kyushu population.
