Abstract
⺠We resolved basal relationships of bivalve mollusks using four protein-encoding genes. ⺠We recovered monophyly of all major bivalve subclasses and higher taxonomic ranks, including Autobranchia and Heteroconchia. ⺠We evaluated phylogenetic signal obtained using nuclear ribosomal versus mitochondrial versus nuclear protein-encoding genes.
