Abstract
⺠The Polycentropodidae form a monophyletic group and sister group to Ecnomidae. ⺠The polycentropodid genera Polycentropus, Polyplectropus, Plectrocnemia, Placocentropus and Nyctiophylax are polyphyletic. ⺠The New Caledonian Polycentropodidae groups result from three separate ancestors. ⺠New genera have to be established for some of the Polycentropodidae groups.
