Abstract
⺠The moth genus Omiodes occurs in the Paleotropics, Neotropics, and Hawaii, but its monophyly has been questioned. ⺠We used sequence data from mitochondrial and nuclear genes to estimate phylogenies for the genus and related genera. ⺠With the exception of two species, Omiodes from all regions comprised a well-supported monophyletic group. ⺠Hawaiian Omiodes were monophyletic with a paleotropical origin, but the origin of the genus as a whole was unresolved.
