Abstract
⺠Phylogenetic analysis using mitochondrial (rrnL, coxI) and nuclear (SSU, LSU) genes. ⺠A sequence-based taxonomic classification of Alticinae to define 18 groups of genera. ⺠Five groups of genera bearing metafemoral springs transferred to Galerucinae. ⺠Groups of genera diagnosable by unique combinations of morphological traits.
