Abstract
⺠Dendrophryniscus is an early diverging genus of toad with fragmented distribution. ⺠We used molecular and morphological data to study species relationships. ⺠We found a â¼Â 40 Ma old split between an Amazonian and Atlantic Forest clade. ⺠Morphometric analyses also confirm divergence between these two groups. ⺠We propose taxonomic changes and discuss this biogeographic pattern.
