Abstract
⺠All analyses recovered the Hopliini as monophyletic, sister group uncertain. ⺠Hopliina were paraphyletic with respect to Pachycnemina. ⺠Sexual dimorphism in Hopliini resulted to have three independent origins. ⺠Sexual dimorphism correlated with taxa with long persistence on a single flower.
