Abstract
⺠A reasonably resolved and supported phylogenetic framework for Asian Begonia. ⺠Fleshy and rain-ballist fruits were shown to be homoplasious in Asian Begonia. ⺠Sections Petermannia and Platycentrum were identified as paraphyletic. ⺠Sections Diploclinium, Reichenheimia and Sphenanthera were identified as polyphyletic.
