Abstract
⺠A phylogeny of the millipede genus Brachycybe is inferred. ⺠The phylogeny is based on mitochondrial and nuclear genes. ⺠GMYC analysis indicates Brachycybe contains eight species, two unrecognized. ⺠The group is ancient, >50 million years old and has a disjunct distribution. ⺠These data highlight the necessity for integrative approaches to taxonomy.
