Abstract

âº Genetic patterns of geckos across Australia's arid zone reflect ancient topography and drainage divides. âº We generated a phylogeny based on 3.1Â kb of nuclear and mtDNA data. âº ML, Bayesian and coalescent-based species-tree inference largely resolve the species tree. âº Morphological data corroborates the molecular results. âº We describe four new species of Beaked Gecko in the genus Rhynchoedura.
