Abstract
⺠We explored the use of species tree estimation methods in an avian family (Pelecaniformes: Sulidae). ⺠Species trees were completely resolved despite a lack of resolution in single gene trees. ⺠The endangered and endemic Abbott's booby was basal to all other sulids.
