Abstract
⺠Agamids have higher than expected species and genetic diversity in monsoon tropics. ⺠Species originated in the late Miocene - early Pliocene. ⺠Significant phylogeogrpahic structure within species. ⺠Phylogeographic patterns evolved under influence of the Australian monsoon.
