Abstract
⺠Workers enclosed with empty venom sacs and filled them by about 57 days of age. ⺠Workers transitioned to outside work (foraging) after 50 days of age. ⺠Workers reached a plateau in their tendency to be outside the nest at 74 days of age. ⺠Workers were able to replace venom at all three ages tested (30, 100, 206 days). ⺠One hundred-day-old workers replaced venom faster than 30- and 206-day-old workers.
