Abstract
⺠Bactridine's is a novel group of peptides killing bacteria making them leaky to Na+. ⺠We demonstrated that bactridines act on Na+ channels from cricket neurons. ⺠Bactridine 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 shifted the inactivation curve to the left. ⺠Bactridine 1, 4 and 6 reduced INa cricket NaV currents. ⺠Bactridines are tools for studying Na+ channel structure-function relationships.
