Abstract
⺠Larval bees have lower levels of immunity (phenoloxidase) than adults. ⺠Phenoloxidase activity increases with age in adult worker bees. ⺠Adult drones have a lower level of immune investment than adult workers. ⺠Adult bees exhibit senescence in their antimicrobial peptide immune response.
