Abstract
⺠Xanthurenic acid is a specific and good substrate for silkworm sulfotransferase. ⺠The major expression of this SULT is in Malpighian tubule at 4th molting stage. ⺠High dose of xanthurenic acid induces toxicity to cuticle formation.
