Abstract
⺠We identified two cathepsin L encoding genes expressed the midgut of Triatomabrasiliensis. ⺠Both transcripts are highly abundant in the posterior midgut region. ⺠Cathepsin activity was characterized by in-gel zymography. ⺠The presence of different cathepsin forms was confirmed by Western blotting.
