Abstract
▸ We analyzed extracts of different tissues of both sexes of the desert locusts using GC-MS. ▸ The levels of phenylacetonitrile (PAN) in the different tissues were examined at various ages. ▸ PAN is present in nearly all body parts of both males and females of the desert locust in varying amounts.
