Abstract
⺠Double membrane (microapocrine) vesicles bud from lepidopteran midgut microvilli. ⺠Antibodies against microapocrine vesicles were prepared. ⺠Antibodies were used to screen a midgut expression cDNA library. ⺠Sequences were extended with midgut mRNA pyrosequencing data and annotated. ⺠Proteins delivered by microapocrine secretion were identified.
