Abstract
⺠We determined the metabolic responses to salinity (0â°, 35â°, 70â°) in an invasive ground beetle. ⺠Hypersaline conditions strongly impaired the duration of survival. ⺠The amounts of several osmolytes remained very low. ⺠Glycine was the most abundant metabolite in hypersaline conditions.
