Abstract
ⶠTissue fractionation for C and N differs between tissues. ⶠSimilarity in isotope values for captive leaf-fed and wild individuals supports herbivory. ⶠWhole-body isotope values in captive tree weta demonstrate trophic depletion (Îδ) for δ15N of about â0.77â° and trophic enrichment of 4.28â° for δ13C. ⶠFood availability and foraging traits may contribute to wide isotopic variation among wild individuals.
