Abstract
► Ae-FABP envelopes lipid droplets in host aphid hemocoel and parasitoid gut lumen. ► Ae-FABP is also found on the surface of the parasitoid midgut and epidermis. ► These two epithelia effectively absorb myristic acid. ► The FA transport rate is unaffected by the presence of Ae-FABP. ► Ae-FABP acts as a FA vector from the host lipids-digestion sites to the developing larva.
