Abstract
⺠Pseudacteon phorid flies use host fire ant chemicals for host location. ⺠Phorid flies show greater attack preference for Red, Hybrid over Black fire ants. ⺠Size difference among different ant species contribute to difference in EAG response. ⺠Phorid flies are equally attracted to extracts of Black, Red and Hybrid fire ants. ⺠Phorid flies cannot differentiate non-polar chemicals from closely related fire ants.
