Abstract
► Agonistic behaviour of the females varies depending on their nutritional state. ► Three behaviours are observed: no-contact, contact-avoidance, and contact-aggression. ► The most aggressive females have the highest levels of lipids. ► Female spiders start looking for food when their lipid reserves start to decrease.
