Mapping landscape services, spatial synergies and trade-offs. A case study using variogram models and geostatistical simulations in an agrarian landscape in North-East Germany

- Five landscape services are assessed and mapped using a non parametric probabilistic approach.
- The spatial structure of each service is characterised using semivariogram models.
- The provision of different couples of service is calculated and mapped using joint probabilities.
- The provision of multiple services is compared for different sub-landscapes.
- The probabilistic mapping approach proved very useful to analyse spatially the provision of services.
