Abstract
⺠There is significant relation between land cover and nitrogen load in river. ⺠Cumulative watersheds are a good field for research into this relationship. ⺠CORINE Land Cover is valuable tool as decisions support for water protection. ⺠Both the composition and the configuration of patches must be taken into account. ⺠Agriculture-related pollution is decisive for the quality of waters.
