Abstract
⺠A set of quantitative indicators describes urban environmental segregation (UES). ⺠The combined approach of indicators for social segregation and urban environment works very well to assess UES. ⺠Land-use dynamics in Santiago produce a higher urban complexity and fragmentation. ⺠The intra-municipal UES exists in close proximity. ⺠The urban environmental indicator “urban green spaces” is strongly differentiated between social groups. ⺠Social segregation is accompanied by unequal distribution of environmental features. ⺠Flood risk is stronger on poorer population due to less mitigation measures.
